Software update: SpeedFan 4.40

Alfredo Milani Comparetti has released version 4.40 of SpeedFan. This small hardware monitor program displays information about all kinds of things in the computer, such as voltages, temperatures, the speed of the fans and the smart information of the hard drives. It is also possible, if the motherboard used supports, to adjust the speed of the fans. In version 4.40 the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Improved identification of Winbond W83667HG
• W83667HG has its own support code now
• W83667HG PWM MODE settings now work properly and can be used to change fan speeds
• Fixed a minor bug in temperature readings of EMCT03
• Fully included data from TPWS002 Intel Document about Tjmax values
• Added support for ADP3228 fan reading
• AdvSmart no longer left a drive if SMART data has bad checksums
