Spread the love

SpamAssassin ensures that your mailbox is filtered for spam. For this, a number of known methods are combined so that all spam can be collected. They look at the content and determine on the basis of a self-learning filter whether the message is spam or not. The program runs in a Perl environment, making it universally applicable. Version 2.60 was recently released and is described as follows:

The SpamAssassin 2.6x release series will be the last set of releases to officially support perl versions earlier than perl 5.6.0. If you are using an earlier release, you will need to upgrade when SpamAssassin 2.70 is eventually released.
