Software Update: Sony PlayStation 4 5.00

Sony has released new firmware for the PlayStation 4. The new firmware carries version number 5.0 and is 357MB in size. Downloading is preferably done from the update menu of the game console itself, but can also be done via the Sony’s website. New in version 5.0 include the option of Family Accounts and new options for notifications. The PlayStation 4 Pro will be able to stream in 1080p resolution at 60fps via Twitch.   • The recommendations for who to follow are now shown based on the games you play. Select (Friends) > (Follow).

• The Custom Lists feature has been added to Friends. Create custom lists to easily manage your friends and choose players to send messages and game invites to.
