Software update: SnIco Edit 2.2.6

Bart Meijer from Snide Soft has updated SnIco Edit to version 2.2.6. SnIco Edit is a comprehensive program for creating and editing static or animated icons and mouse cursors. The software can be downloaded as exe file or into zip format. SnIco Edit can be used for free at home, but a fee is required from commercial institutions. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

Changes in version 2.2.6:

  • Text tool draws at mouse position now
  • Annoying black grid when resizing window removed
  • Some broken links in fixed/removed menu
  • snico edit opens a new icon by default
  • show icon info menu item has no longer any function, removed
  • BUG: preview window this doesn’t paint correctly
  • using handtool disables autocentering of the grid now
  • auto center on –
  • repaint grid. remove black parts
  • stopping animation in preview window resets to current image now
  • starting animation in preview window starts at first step now.
  • auto reorder of images defaulted to off for animations
  • hide animation menu if selected icon is no animated icon.
  • BUG: access voilation if images are moved up/down in animation
  • BUG: palette didn’t update if color was selected with the eyedropper tool.
  • BUG: access voilation when duplicating image from popup menu
  • removed useless cancel button on save as overwrite confirmation dialog
  • added confirmation for overwriting a file when exporting.
  • default assign 6 jifs to a first image in an animated icon.
  • disable resize image/canvas when current image is an animation
