Software Update: Skype for Windows 3.5.0.158 beta

Skype today released a new beta release of its VoIP program for Windows with version number 3.5.0.158. This program allows free calls with other Skype users, generally with a surprisingly good quality. It is also possible to call fixed and mobile telephones, for a fee small compensation. In addition to the Windows version, versions for Linux, Mac OS X and Pocket PC are also being developed, but these are technically slightly behind the Windows version. The second beta release of version 3.5 of Skype for Windows ships with the following changelog:

Bug fixed:

• When menu was opened it needed 2 clicks to answer a call on tray notification

• Skype contacts were shown as SkypeOut contacts when sending SMS
• Accessibility: Not all buttons in profile were selectable via Tabstop
