Gabriel Topala has released a new version of SIW. SIW is short for System Information for Windows, and that’s exactly what the program does: provide comprehensive information about a Windows PC. This information relates not only to the hardware present in the PC, but also to the software, the network and the running processes and services. SIW is less than one and a half megabytes in size and does not need to be installed to do its job. In addition to the free version for home use, commercial versions are available, which include an LCD monitor test and additional possibilities for reports. Since the beginning of this year, the maker has abandoned the use of version numbers and now simply gives the program the date of release, and in this case that is 2009-10-22. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:
