Software update: SIW 1.63 build 616

Spread the love

Gabriel Topala has just released version 1.63 build 616 of SIW. SIW is short for System Information for Windows and that is exactly what the program does; provide comprehensive information about a Windows PC. This does not only affect the hardware present in the PC, but also the software, the running processes and services, and the network. The program fits easily on an old-fashioned floppy disk and does not need to be installed to do its job. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

Changes in version 1.63 build 616:

  • Added SMBus support for VIA 686A, VIA 8233A, VIA 8235 and VIA 8237. Thanks to Tony Roberts.
  • Added Right-Click context menu for the left tree.
  • Split ‘Secrets’ item into ‘Licenses’ and ‘Secrets’.
  • Fixed SATA-I detection. Thanks to Mátyás Bene.
