Software Update: Shareaza 2.5.3.0

The Shareaza Development Team released version 2.5.3.0 of its eponymous p2p file sharing program last Saturday. Shareaza allows files to be shared across Edonkey2000, Gnutella, Gnutella2, and Bittorrent networks. This update comes a little over a year after version 2.4.0.0 and contains mostly bug fixes. Since the version was released on October 31, it starts with a special Halloween skin, which fortunately can be easily turned off. Since version 2.5.1.0, support for processors older than an Intel Pentium III or AMD Athlon XP has been dropped, as it uses the SSE instruction set. This is also the last version to run on Windows 9x/Me. We can’t tell from the release notes what has changed in version 2.5.3.0:
