Piriform released version 1.32.444 of Recuva on Friday. The name of the program is an alternative spelling for the English word ‘recover’, and that is exactly what the program does: it tries to recover deleted files on, for example, the hard drive or memory card of a digital camera or MP3 player. Recuva is free for both private and commercial use and works with all versions of Windows, except Windows NT. Recuva is only one single executable and can be used as zip file or if installation file are downloaded. New in this release is the U3 installer and better handling of exFAT format discs. Furthermore, from this version Windows 98 is no longer supported. The full changelog of this release looks like this:
