Software Update: Qt 4.6.3

Nokia has released a new version of Qt. Qt, pronounced cute, is an open source and cross-platform environment for developing applications. It is used in Google Earth, KDE, Opera, Skype, VLC media player and VirtualBox, among others. The full changelog is here and these are the release notes for version 4.6.3:

Today we have released Qt 4.6.3, along with a new build of the Qt SDK (2010.03) and a new version of the Qt Visual Studio Add-in (1.1.5). These are bug-fix releases, based on feedback and contributions received since the 4.6.2 release back in February.

Packages for these products are available for download from the Qt Download Page. The release includes both source packages (.zip and .tar.gz format) and binary packages (for Mac Cocoa, Mac Carbon, MinGW 4.4.0, Visual Studio 2008 and Symbian).

For those who prefer to use the public git repository from http://qt.gitorious.org/ rather than download a source package, a “v4.6.3″ tag will appear soon.

If you would like to provide feedback, you can do so using the Qt Bug Tracker. If you want to contribute code, documentation or autotests to Qt, all the information you need to get started can be found at: http://qt.gitorious.org/.
