Software Update: PowerArchiver 2009 11.0 RC1

After five beta releases, Conexware today released the first release candidate of Powerarchiver 11.0. This program can handle the most common archive types such as zip, 7z, cab, lha tar, gzip, bzip2, rar, arj, arc and ace. In addition, it can also read CD or DVD images, including iso, bin, img and nrg. The first thing you notice about Powerarchiver 2009 is that there are now two different versions available: a standard and a professional edition. The first contains everything we’ve come to expect from the old Powerarchiver, while the other can also burn CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, create ISO files and also mount them as a virtual drive. Finally, this variant can also be used as an ftp client. Here’s what’s changed in this release:
