Software Update: AnyDVD 6.4.6.6

Slysoft released version 6.4.6.6 of AnyDVD last Tuesday. This program runs in the background of Windows and is able to bypass region and copy protection on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs on the fly. It is also able to skip mandatory parts, such as the copyright and FBI warnings. Finally, the speed of the drive can also be adjusted to reduce the noise produced during playback. An AnyDVD license costs 49 euros, for the HD version an additional 30 euros will have to be deposited. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:

  • New (DVD): Added workaround for DVDs with CSS mastering errors, eg “Go”, R2, Germany This mastering error prevents playback with most player software (eg, Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, Zoom Player, TheaterTek) and some standalone players (eg, PlayStation 3) With AnyDVD playback on the PC is now possible.
