Software Update: PowerArchiver 2003 8.8 beta

PowerArchiver 2003 can use different compression methods to pack and unpack files. Support for all common formats is provided, including ZIP, CAB, LHA, TAR, RAR, ARJ, GZ, and BZIP2 files, among others. Encryption can also be applied using Blowfish, DES, Triple DES and AES algorithms and the program has an internal viewer for various images.

The development team recently released version 8.8 beta which will likely be the last in the 8.x series. The changelog looks like this:

• Optimizations and bug fixes
• Implemented better method of opening and editing files

This is a beta release of PowerArchiver that may contain bugs. It should not be used in critical production environments.
