Software Update: Piwik 2.17.0

Version 2.17.0 of Piwik has been released. Piwik is an open source alternative to Google Analytics† It uses PHP and a MySQL database to do its job. The functionality can be easily extended with plugins, of which more than twenty are included. Of course you can also turn it off if certain functionality is not needed. New in version 2.17.0 is, among other things, the possibility to purchase premium plugins directly from the web interface.

This release brings a big new improvement to Piwik: now you can easily purchase premium paid plugins from the Marketplace directly within your Piwik. Simply purchase one or more plugins, enter your license key, and you’re done! All your Premium plugins can now be downloaded and installed in just one click just like any other free plugins.
