PassMark Software, known for BurnInTest and WirelessMon, among others, has released an update for version 9.0 of PerformanceTest. This program allows a computer running Windows XP or higher to be subjected to a series of benchmarks. In 32 tests, the five main groups, namely the processor, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, storage and memory, are tested as objectively as possible and graphically compared to a number of other systems. In addition, there are seven extra tests, in which virtualization and the network can be examined, among other things. Since build 1021, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 9.0 build 1023:

  • Made some changes so test scores greater than 0 but less than 1 are rounded up to 1 when displayed (to avoid them showing as 0)
  • Added a new example baselines to reflect newer hardware on the market
  • Started displaying text scaling factor / DPI settings in the with video card information. The DPI setting can impact the 2D results (more pixels to move around means slower 2D at high DPI)

Changes in version 9.0 build 1022:

  • Fixed a crash that could occur when exporting a test graph (eg advanced memory test) to an image
  • Fixed a bug in the Advanced memory test where NUMA settings were not being taken into account for memory latency and block size testing
  • Fixed a crash that could occur in the memory latency test
