Software update: Passmark PerformanceTest 7.0 build 1020

PassMark Software, known for BurnInTest and WirelessMon, among others, released version 7.0 build 1020 of PerformanceTest on Wednesday. This program allows a computer running Windows 2000 or later to be subjected to a series of benchmarks. In 28 tests, the six main groups, namely the processor, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, hard disk, memory and CD/DVD drive, are tested as objectively as possible and graphically compared to a number of other systems. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Changes in version 7.0 build 1020:

• Fixed the visualized physics test image mode, which was broken.
• Improved CPU information gathering on VIA cpus.
• Improved CPU speed detection on overclocked Core 2 systems.
• Added detection for several Radeon graphics card types.
