Software Update: Paint.NET 2.0

Some Washington State University students have worked with Microsoft to create an improved version of Paint. The software has been given the name Paint.NET and, as the name already revealed, is developed in Microsoft .NET. Paint.NET is capable of editing images. You can use layers and various tools to apply effects. WSU students recently released version 2.0 of the image editing program. This release can be downloaded as an installation package without .NET Framework 1.1 or with the framework† For an overview of the changes Paint.NET has undergone, see this document
