Oracle has released versions 12.0.1, 11.0.3, and 8 version 212 / 211 of Java Standard Edition. Oracle has released only the Java SE Development Kit (JDK) since version 11.x, in both the Oracle JDK– if OpenJDKflavor, the latter being offered under the gpl license. Java Runtime Environment (JRE) and Server Java Runtime Environment (Server JRE) are no longer being released. However, it is possible to jlink compose a smaller runtime.
