Download Opera 8.02
The Norwegian company Opera Software has released a new version of their web explorer Opera and has given it the version number 8.02. Support for the BitTorrent protocol added in the previous technical preview is not available in this version. The program includes tabbed browsing, a popup blocker and an email module with an extensive spam filter. The release notes and changelog look like this:
Opera Software today released the second upgrade to Opera 8. The new version, Opera 8.02, is available for Windows, Linux and Macintosh and includes security upgrades and smaller bug fixes. Opera 8.02 does not include support for the BitTorrent protocol, which was launched on July 7, 2005 in a Technical Preview of the Opera browser. BitTorrent was well-received by the market and the protocol is under consideration for a subsequent product release.
