Software Update: OpenOffice.org 1.1.4rc

OpenOffice.org recently released the first release candidate of the OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 office suite made available† OpenOffice.org is an open-source office suite and contains, in addition to a word processor (Writer), a spreadsheet program (Calc), a presentation program (Impress) and finally a drawing program (Draw). Files can be saved in, among other things, the proprietary XML format, in PDF form and in the format used by the various Microsoft Office programs. This release has yet to be tested by the quality assurance team, but users can also download and test 1.1.4rc.
