Software update: NVCleanstall 1.4.0

Spread the love

NVCleanstall is a program that can create a custom installation of Nvidia video card drivers. This can remove components that you don’t need or don’t want, but that cannot be disabled in the default installation file. The program can work with a driver that is already installed, an installation file that has already been downloaded, or it can get a driver of your choice from the Nvidia website. Then the driver is extracted and the desired adjustments are made. The result is an uncompressed folder of files that is larger, but installs much less. The changelog of the last few versions looks like this:

Changes in version 1.4.0:

  • Fixed “Enable Message Signaled Interrupts” to work correctly in all cases
  • Fixed “New version available” always showing version “1.1.0” as latest
  • Removed empty space in “Tweaks” panel on non-DCH drivers

Changes in version 1.3.0:

  • Added tweak to install NVIDIA Control Panel app from Microsoft Store (without Microsoft account), DCH drivers only
  • Added tweak to enable Message Signaled Interrupts
  • Tweaks section moved onto its own page
  • Fixed background driver update check not getting disabled when its checkbox is unchecked
  • Downloaded files can now be dropped onto the NVCleanstall window to automatically use them as driver source

Changes in version 1.2.0:
