Software update: NewsLeecher 2.1 beta 2

NewsLeecher today released version 2.1 beta 2 of the program of the same name that can be used to read messages and download binaries via Usenet. This release includes changes related to the Super Search, the program can be started with a password and of course the necessary bug fixes. The full release notes look like this:

Changes in 2.1 beta 2

• Added several new groups to the Super Search indexer and changed the way the Super Search engine indexes new headers. Headers are now indexed partly by contents and partly by the group they belong to.
• NewsLeecher can now be setup to ask for a password at startup and/or when being restored from the system tray.
• Added a “Go to Download Folder” feature to the transferqueues popup menu.
• Added options to separately clear each NewsLeecher filter when closing the application. Can be accessed from Setup->Security.
• Minor visual improvements.
• Internal code improvements. Making News Leecher run a bit smoother than before.
• Minor bug fixes.
