Software update: Newsbin Pro 6.71 build 4750 RC 3

The third release candidate of NewsBin Pro 6.71 has been released. With this program files, such as photos, videos and programs, can be retrieved from usenet. It has everything you would expect from a usenet downloader, such as support for multithreading, ssl and autopar. Furthermore, there are extensive filter options and an optional Usenet search service can be used. Version 6.71 is a bugfix release and the changelog mainly shows bugfixes.

• Fixed issue with unraring RAR files containing empty folders. The folders were not getting created.

• Fixed crash when renaming a group folder in the groups list (Group of Groups name)
• Made change to periodically save total download count instead of only on exit.
• Fixed issue where downloading from search watch list wasn’t tagging the post as “downloaded”
• Now creates any empty folders that might be represented inside a RAR file during unrar.
• Fixed issue with trial keys not working. Introduced in RC2.
• Report: Auto-shutdown will shutdown when the download list empties, even if Newsbin is still importing downloaded headers.
  Determined that this is not an issue as Newsbin will pick up where it left off the next time you start it.

Known Issues (won’t be fixed in 6.71)

• “Load Older Posts” for headers is broken
• Auto-shutdown will close Newsbin while headers are still importing in the background. Determined to be annoying but not critical as the import will continue once Newsbin is started again.
