Software Update: NewsBin Pro 6.52 Build 3183 Beta 1

The first beta release of NewsBin Pro version 6.52 has been released. With this program files such as photos, movies and programs can be retrieved from usenet. New in version 6.50 is, among other things, a watch function, which allows you to watch for specific content when retrieving the headers. Also, the download can be extracted to a different location than where it is initially saved. The changelog for this release looks like this:

• Fixed bug where configuration file could be corrupted when adding a new server.
• Vacuum downloaded.db3 on startup (database compaction)

• Logic for examining different file types for spam has been moved into its own DLL for easier patching in the future without having to put out a new release
• Handles more posting types that Newsbin was not able to identify as spam.
• Files list purging wasn’t working. Now capped at 10,000 and deleted files are removed from DB.
• Now uses latest version of SQLite
• Performance enhancement to importing headers.
• Potential crash issue when re-adding a file to the download list (crashed android, not windows)
