Ilja Herlein has released version 4.6.0 of NetSetMan. With this program, various settings can be adjusted quickly and easily by means of profiles. It is especially useful for laptop users who use their computers in different locations such as home and work. With the push of a button, for example, the IP address, the default printer and the smtp server can be changed. The program is free to use, but there is also a pro version for commercial users, which also allows customizing the domain, proxy server and browser homepage. The changelog for this release looks like this:

New:

  • “Public DNS Servers” list for quick access from the DNS context menu Prefilled with the most common DNS servers, but fully customizable
  • New method for the IPv6 feature for reading the current addresses
  • Compatibility for Windows 10 version 1709 (“Fall Creators Update”)

Fix:

  • WiFi debug file removed
  • Skip delay if a program that is set to “Run once” is already running
  • MAC address format in LAN/Adapter dialog
  • (Pro): Updating prepared NICs in settings file with NICLabel only
  • Lots of minor fixes and adjustments
