Ahead Software has released a new version of the popular burning program Nero Burning Rom. This time, quite a few improvements have been made, so it’s worth downloading it. The link at the bottom of this piece points to the full version (4.9 MB), here you can download the update (4 MB):

  • Don’t bother user with turning on simulation in case of BURN-Proof or JustLink turned on and first “copy on the fly” is detected.
  • Added: Under Win2000 and Win98 Nero will no longer go into suspend or energy saving mode during the burn process or file conversions
  • Added: possibility to stop the write process for BurnProof-sessions implemented
  • Enabled Oversize feature for Plextor 8x4x32x and 12x10x32x family drives

  • Improvements in DAO/TAO writing at Sony-CDU9xx-family
  • Bugfix: Mitsumi CR-2801TE and all other CD-Rs, which cannot write in DAO-mode: now you can burn a DAO-Image with these recorders (in TAO)
  • Bugfix: mode 2 track could not be read after writing under Win 2000, only after reboot or CD-Info!
  • Bugfix: Philips CDD3600 producing Audio-CDs in DAO-mode works correctly now.
