Software Update: NASM 0.98.39

Assembler is one of the oldest development languages ​​and today it is often used for highly optimized applications. To the delight of many developers, the development of NASM does not stand still. Recently, version 0.98.39 is freely available for a number of different platforms. The included changelog looks like this:

  • fix buffer overflow
  • fix outas86’s .bss handling
  • “make spotless” no longer deletes config.h.in.
  • %(el)if(n)idn insensitivity to string quotes difference (#809300).
  • (nasm.c) __OUTPUT_FORMAT__ changed to string value instead of symbol.
