Software update: Mp3tag 2.45c beta

Florian Heidenreich has released a new beta release of Mp3tag. With this program, the meta tags of the most common music formats can be modified. Support is available for ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes Mp5, wma, Vorbis Comments and Ape tags. Furthermore, the file names can also be modified on the basis of those tags and playlists can be generated. In version 2.45c, the following changes and improvements have been made:

New:

  • Added Ctrl+Space keyboard shortcut for displaying format string helper menu.
  • Support for %_md5audio% for FLAC files.

Changes:

  • Dockbar information now always stored in configuration file.
  • Improved copy and paste of tags to multiple files.
  • Performance improvements for MATCHES keyword when filtering using regular expressions.

Fixed:

  • $validate removed colons in directory part of parameter instead of using replacement character.
  • Runtime error when clicking the actions drop-down menu after deleting all action groups.
  • Shell extension did not load directories with dots in their names.
  • Shell extension did not resolve symbolic links.
  • Tag field mappings did not work for APEv2 tagged files.
