Optical says: “A new version of Motherboard Monitor is out. One of the most important changes is support for the nForce2, which many people have been waiting for for a while:”

Voltages:

o Voltages calculation has totally changed, instead of being inside the dll the calculation is now done via a formula located in /data/voltage.ini. The benefit of this is that if a voltage upgrades is needed this can be done via this simple 20kb file
o Voltage Custom.ini file is added to the /data dir, this is for the expert users who want to create their own calculations, anything in here will overwrite the voltage.ini file

New support:

    o NForce2 support
    o LM85 support
    o MAX1989 support
    o Better Via8231 temp & volt support
    o 3rd, 4th and 5th voltage subtype for Winbond 97HF

Added:

    o VIA debug dump added
o ISA dump bank switch added
o Read Temps, Read Voltage, Read Fans added to advanced section, see help file
o .vbs files can be selected to be started when an alarm goes off
o mbmstarterdll, please read the readme file in the /misc directory on it’s use
o mbm5messages, please read the readme file in the /misc directory on it’s use

fixes:

o if dashboard locked to right side and you right click to remove the side bar the dashboard will relock
o Better fast user switch support in combination with hybernation for XP – thanks Torsten Kerschat
    o install.log error fixed ?
o Voltage Configuration not sticking fixed (again!!)
    o LM75 detected when there is a W83L784R
    o 3rd fan on W83783S detected

[break] There is also a patch for Asus A7N8X owners, with which the correct temperature can now be read:[/break] Below is a link to a small zip file, it will update your mbm.dll to 5.2.2.3 and it will give Asus A7N8X users a sensor with the name “Asus 5”. From my 1st tests it seems this is the exact temperature shown in the bios which many of you say is the diode temp. This will mean you can set MBM up like this:

    sensor 1 = Asus 1 = case
    sensor 2 = Asus 2 = CPU socket
    sensor 3 = Asus 5 = CPU diode
