Software Update: Microsoft RAW Viewer 1.0

Microsoft has just released a new PowerToy that makes it possible to view and print RAW photo files in Windows XP. The tool is called RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer in full and can be downloaded as a 48MB heavy download here be brought in. In addition to this support, RAW Vierwer can also read the ExIf information. More information about how the program works can be found in this Word document† The document explicitly states that Service Pack 2 must be installed. In addition, the tool also has the .NET Framework required. Listed below are the image formats and digital cameras that RAW Viewer can handle:
