Software Update: Microsoft Portrait 2.2

Besides the fact that Microsoft continues to develop its successful pieces of software such as Office and MSN Messenger, the company also continues to develop completely new programs. One of the older new programs is Microsoft Portrait, a video chat program that already works on 9.6 kilobits per second connections. The software is not only available on PC, but also works on handhelds with the PocketPC operating system. On New Year’s Day, the company released a new version of the program, numbered 2.2. The changelog looks like this:

• Supports the latest version of .NET Messenger Service.
• Supports Microsoft Live Communications Server 2003 and other SIP servers.
• Realizes new features such as multiparty chat in Microsoft Live Communication Server 2003.
