Microsoft has put the first Release Candidate of its .NET Framework 3.0 online. Until recently, this package was known as WinFX and consists of the .NET Framework 2.0, supplemented with some extras. For example, Windows CardSpace was added to better deal with digital identity management, Windows Communication Foundation – formerly known as Indigo – should make communication between systems and software easier and finally there is Windows Workflow Foundation for defining workflows, both for programmers and for human resources. Developers who want to distribute their programs based on this release candidate must agree to the Go-Live license, which means that Microsoft cannot be held responsible for problems that occur as a result of using this test version.
