Software update: Media Player Classic – Black Edition 1.6.8.5

An update has been released for version 1.6.8 of Media Player Classic – Black Edition, which was released a few days ago. Media Player Classic is a small no-nonsense media player with the appearance of Windows Media Player 6.4. After Gabest, the original creator of MPC, ceased development, several projects emerged based on the open source code. Home Cinema and Black Edition are the best known. MPC – BE can handle the most commonly used media formats, has support for hardware acceleration and can be used in more than 25 languages. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

MPegSplitter

• Fixed detection of SMPTE 302M audio tracks.

MatroskaSplitter

• Fixed navigation for MKA/WebM audio files. Always use index list.

YouTube

• Fixed navigation for VP9+Opus clips.
• Fixed opening of some Live broadcasts on YouTube.
