Alt-N Technologies updated its email server software to version 9.60 a few days ago. MDaemon is a mail server for the Windows platform with built-in antivirus and anti-spam capabilities. Some of the many new features include:

• Message Certification (Pro Version) – The first email server to use the “Vouch By Reference” method which enables certification providers to vouch for the messages sent by others, thus minimizing the bandwidth required by spam filters
• BackScatter Protection (Pro Version) – Nearly eliminates any chance of receiving a non-delivery reply from a message you did not send
• Latest DKIM – Incorporates the recently approved IETF standard (RFC 4871) email authentication method as a default feature
• Account Grouping – Allows an account to be identified as a member of one or more groups
• Subaddressing – Routes messages automatically to a specified folder eliminating the need to set-up filtering rules
• Minger Protocol (Pro Version) – A simple and efficient mechanism for verifying the existence of an email account
• Cache, Queuing, and IP Connection Adjustments – Allows administrators to improve email delivery performance based upon their unique traffic patterns
