A new version of the Stinger anti-virus program is available on the McAfee website. The software is not a normal virus scanner, which always watches from the background, but only scans your hard disk for viruses on request. The program recognizes the thirty best-known computer viruses and their mutations and can render them harmless. The software should provide an easy solution for people who want to quickly scan whether they are infected with a virus or worm.
