Software Update: Apple Safari 1.2

Apple has released a new version of its web browser for its own MacOS X operating system. The release, numbered 1.2, improves the compatibility, security and usability of the software on several fronts. We find the following list:

New in Safari 1.2

• Improved compatibility with websites and web applications
• Support for personal certificate authentication
• Full keyboard access for navigation
• Ability to resume interrupted downloads
• Support for websites that use LiveConnect for communication between JavaScript and Java applets (requires Java 1.4.2)
