Software Update: McAfee Stinger 10.1.0.815
McAfee released a new version of Stinger on Friday. This program is not intended as a total anti-virus solution, but can be used to clean infected Windows PCs. It recognizes 675 of the currently common viruses, worms, and trojans, including all their variants. McAfee Stinger is less than 5MB in size and can be used for free. The changelog hasn’t been updated since early 2009, so we can’t tell you about the changes made in version 10.0.1.688.
