Software Update: Maxthon 3.0.11 build 8 beta

Maxthon has released a new beta release of version 3.0 of its web browser of the same name. Maxthon is not a standalone browser, but a so-called wrapper, which sits like a shell around Internet Explorer. The program uses IE’s internal engine to display web pages, but has its own interface with many extras functionality, including mouse gestures and online bookmarks. However, version 3.0 has, in addition to the IE engine Trident, also a second rendering engine on board, namely the WebKit originally developed by Apple. Below is the changelog of this release.

Last Session Tab

The Last Session Tab is similar to the “Last Visited Pages” in Maxthon 2.x but actually shows 2 sessions – the last session and the session before last session under “More”. The Last Session Tab can be configured to open on Startup in Options, or opened manually by entering “about:last” to address bar.

Clear Browser Traces Dialog

Individual browsing records can be cleared selectively now.
