While Maxthon’s version 3.0 development is progressing steadily, updates to version 2.5 continue to be released. Maxthon is not a standalone browser, but a so-called wrapper, which sits like a shell around Internet Explorer. The program uses IE’s internal engine to display the web pages, but has its own interface with all kinds of extra functionality, including mouse gestures and online bookmarks. In the changelog of this release we only find bug fixes and minor changes.
