Software Update: Miranda IM 0.8.24

The releases of Miranda IM continue to follow each other in rapid succession, because version 0.8.24 was released on Wednesday, the second release of this week. Miranda IM is an open source instant messaging program, which is developed only for Windows and offers standard support for ICQ, irc, MSN, AIM, Jabber and Yahoo, among others. The download is not even 1.8MB in size, which means you get a sober and light program. However, both the functionality and appearance of the program can be changed with more than 350 different add-ons and plug-ins completely customized to your liking. This makes Miranda IM one of the most customizable IM clients for Windows. Version 0.8.24 fixes the following four issues:

• AIM: Fixed reception of messages in ISO 8859-1 code page
• Jabber: XStatus icons were shown incorrectly
• Jabber: Fixed possible crash sending non-existent file
