The new Mandriva can be downloaded as a CD and DVD edition on the download pages mentioned, but it is also possible to use Mandriva Linux One. One is the name of the live CD that includes KDE, ATi and Linux drivers, Adobe Flash and Sun Java. Unlike the full version of Mandriva Linux, One comes with non-free software.

Mandriva Linux 2008.0 is the latest addition to the Mandriva series. The distribution comes with Linux kernel 2.6.22.9, KDE 3.5.7, Gnome 2.2.0, OpenOffice 2.2.1, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 and Compiz Fusion 0.5.2, among others, which provides the 3D effects on the desktop. In addition, support for video cards, sound cards and network hardware has been improved.
