Software Update: Malwarebytes 3.8.3.2965

Spread the love

Version 3.8.3 of Malwarebytes has been released. This program is aimed at fighting malware, such as malicious software that pretends to be a bona fide antivirus or antispyware solution, but in reality has less good intentions, such as ransom– or scareware. In addition to the free version, there is a paid variant, which offers additional functionality, including real-time protection.

Since version 3.0, the Anti-Exploit and Anti-Ransomware tools have been integrated, which were previously offered as separate programs. The manufacturer therefore believes that the product can now also be used as a replacement for the traditional antivirus software, where it previously recommended to use it alongside. This only applies to the paid version, the free version only functions as an on-demand scanner. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

  • Improved detection and remediation techniques
