Download macam 0.8.8

The macam program focuses on supporting various USB webcams on the Mac OS X platform. For a complete list of supported models, please refer to this page. In addition to controlling the webcam, the program can also record the video images that are made. For more information, we refer you to this page. The developers have released version 0.8.8 with the following changes:

Version 0.8.8:

• ZC030x driver appears to not crash anymore (Quickcam Communicate STX)
• SN9Cxxx driver appears to not crash anymore (Philips SPC600NC anyway)
• compression for ZC030x might work
• added download of images for Philips FunCam (DMVC 300K)

• fixed SPC200NC inversion
• macam now quits when main window is closed
• added copy functionality to main window
• added preliminary EyeToy support
• added more QuickCam Express cameras

• fixed debug messages in messenger driver
• fixed a byte-order quality issue for many cameras on Mac Intel (in BayerConverter!)
• fixed rotation for Veo Stingray

Version 0.8.7:

• Fixed (hopefully) a serious QuickTime resource bug at the request of Apple
• OV511(+) has reverted to 0.8.4 status and should work now (oops)
• TV8532 based cameras should work now
• SPCA501 based cameras should work now
• SPCA508 based cameras should work now
• ZC030x based cameras should work now
• Ezonics iContact should work now
• All Logitech QuickCam Express (all 4 varieties) should work now
• Sonix-based cameras might work now

• Added a SPCA5XXDriver to allow the inclusion of code directly from the spca5xx Linux driver
