Software update: Linux kernel 2.6.7

Spread the love

On Kernel.org, Mior found version 2.6.7 of the Linux kernel. This release fixes a lot of bugs again, including this one exploit† The change log is here to find. Linus Torvalds left the following message on the Linux kernel mailing list:

Okay, it’s out there. The most notable change may be the one-liner that should fix the embarrassing FP exception problem. Other than that, we’ve had a random collection of fixes and updates since rc3. cifs, ntfs, cpufreq. ide, sparc, s390.
