Software Update: Linux Kernel 2.6.3
Andante points us to a new release of Linux kernel 2.6. This is numbered 2.6.3 and has a laundry list to changes. Release candidate 4 of this industry was released last Monday and included improved Radeon support and support for PPC and PPC64 systems. In the final version mainly the minor bugs have been removed from the code. Linus Torvalds has circulated the following text:
Okay, it’s out.
There were some minimal changes relative to the last -rc4, mostly some
configuration and build fixes, but a few important one-liners too.
happy testing,
Linus
