Software Update: LibreOffice 5.4.3

The Document Foundation has released version 5.4.3 of LibreOffice. This open source office package originated as a fork of OpenOffice and comes with the word processor Writer, spreadsheet program Calc, presentation program Impress, drawing program Draw, database program Base and Formula, an application for making scientific notations.

Version 5.4 includes improvements in Writer and Calc in particular. For example, copying and pasting bulleted text is a lot better, the last settings used when importing CSV files are remembered and formulas can now contain a negative date. Furthermore, pdfium is integrated which provides better quality of images in pdf files and we also see some performance improvements. Version 5.4.3 had two release candidates, in which just over fifty improvements have been made.
