Software Update: KDE 3.0.1

LollieStick was the first to let us know that there is a new version of KDE. In this 1st new version after the much-discussed 3.0, several bugs have been fixed. The number of crashes has also been greatly reduced. The changelog is here to find. Below is an excerpt from the official announcement

May 22, 2002 (The INTERNET). The KDE Project today announced the immediate availability of KDE 3.0.1, the third generation of KDE’s free, powerful desktop for Linux and other UNIXes. KDE 3.0.1 ships with the core KDE libraries, the base desktop environment, an integrated development environment, and hundreds of applications and other desktop enhancements from the other KDE base packages (PIM, administration, network, edutainment, development, utilities, multimedia, games, artwork, and more).
