Software update: Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 MP2

On Kaspersky Labs’ FTP server, Anonymous: 55140 came across the first beta version of Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 MP2 and couldn’t help but share this information with us. The file is 10.2MB in size and only works in combination with this key, which can be found in the same folder. The release notes inform us of the following improvements:

Enhancements:

• A module for detecting and blocking network attacks has been added
• Missed updates are now launched at application startup
• Possibility to configure proxy server parameters has been added
• Information about the real-time protection status is updated more frequently
• By default, archive passwords are not requested
• Computer can be automatically shut down after the scan is complete
• The Ichecker and IStream technologies can be disabled during application installation
• The sound played when a pop-up window appears can now be switched off
• Both incoming and outgoing mail is now scanned at the recommended protection level
• A backup storage for original objects has been added
• Possibility to customize links to license key purchasing and renewal has been added
