Software Update: jv16 PowerTools X 4.0.0.1492

Macecraft Software has released an update to jv16 PowerTools X. This program is for tweaking all kinds of things in Windows. For example, there are modules to determine which programs are started when Windows boots and you can search for duplicate files. In addition, the registry can be cleaned of redundant keys and made smaller, which has a beneficial effect on Windows performance.

The program can be tried for two months and a license costs just under thirty euros. In jv16 PowerTools X, a new module has been added to optimize the start time and the ‘Clean & Fix my Computer’ module has been improved. This update contains the following changes and improvements:

Improvements:

• Enhanced the safety of the File Cleaner and the Temp file cleaning feature of the Clean and Fix My Computer.
• Improved the speed of the Clean and Fix My Computer can analyze specific types of data.
• Improved Startup Optimizer’s compatibility with many software.

Bug fixed:

• The Clean and Fix My Computer can freeze and never finish if scanning the registry with the one notch more aggressive scan option.
• The Software Leftover scan of the Clean and Fix My Computer is run on the more aggressive scan mode but not in the most aggressive scan mode.
• If using registry key abbreviation, some features of the Registry Finder do not work properly, such as the Open In RegEdit feature.
• Check For Updates feature’s window moves automatically to the left corner of the screen and is incorrectly sized. The same bug can also occur with other program windows.
• Startup Manager’s Explore option (in Right Click menu) does not work if the startup item’s file reference contains command line parameters.
• If using the program in the modern GUI mode (default mode), thre is no Columns menu in the File Tool, making it impossible to use some of the tool’s features.
