Software Update: JkDefragGUI 1.09

Emiel Wiel Draaijer has released a new version of JkDefragGUI. This program is intended as a user interface for Jeroen Kessels’ open source defragmenter JkDefrag. That program is only supplied as a DOS box, commandline or screensaver version. However, JkDefragGUI is more than just a graphical shell; it also adds functionality, including the ability to clean the hard drive before defragmenting and to schedule a defrag for a later date. It also ensures that the latest versions of the various programs are always used.

JkDefrag was succeeded by MyDefrag some time ago. JkDefragGUI cannot be used in combination with that version, but Emiel Wiel Draaijer is currently working on a version that can. This program will be called MyDefrag PowerGUI and here are already some screenshots to admire. Since the previous entry in the Meuktracker, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 1.09:

  • Added NTRegOpt Windows 7 Check to prevent NTRegOpt Error BCD0000000
  • Added JkDefragGUI restarted when languages ​​files are updated
  • Fixed Program Installer update button not updating Software listing
  • Removed Timeout.exe not needed anymore
  • Updated several languages

Changes in version 1.08:

  • Fixed path error in BartPE Nu2Menu XML file
